Things have finally settled in amongst all the changes that have taken place. One of the biggest hurdles we have faced and will continue to face is the street construction downtown and the parking issues.
We want to provide you with solutions to the lack of street parking while the construction takes place. Parking at the Library parking lot at the Spring Street location is always an option, though we know it’s not the closest. The Village of Covington has opened up its lot for downtown customers. Along with street parking on the surrounding side streets, Wright, Main, and Pearl Streets, the lot behind Sellman’s is open for our patrons and staff. While this gives us several options, we kindly ask that our patrons do not park in the lot beside the Newberry building. This lot is designated for Marias Technology employees.
During the Renovation period at the main J.R. Clarke Public Library, the Alternative Site will be closing on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. due to the monthly Library Board Trustee meeting. Anyone is welcome to attend the Library Board Trustee meetings at 6:30 p.m.
