SEMI ANNUAL BOOK SALE TAKING PLACE!
Covington’s J. R. Clarke Public Library Semi-Annual Book Sale will take place next weekend on Friday, April 26 from 9am-5pm and Saturday, April 27 from 9am-2pm. This book sale is sponsored by the Friends of J.R. Clarke Public Library and chaired by volunteer, Brandy Pence and company! We will be setting up a few days ahead and there will be a special time to view and purchase these books on Thursday, April 25 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm in the Community Room. This special period is for all Friends of J.R. Clarke Public Library and any patron can sign up for the Friend’s group before entering the book sale on Thursday evening. We would like you to consider being a volunteer at the library. We have many things to do whether it is volunteering once a month or once a week! If you have a special area that you are interested in doing, let us know!
In addition, this year, we are beginning a “Free Your Mind of Fines!” During the two days of Book Sales, if you currently have fine with J.R. Clarke, come on in and get the fines taken off your record! We want your visit to J.R. Clarke Public Library to be fun and a great place to relax and enjoy! Fines can only be taken off a patron’s record in person at the library.
The last two hours of the Book Sale from noon to 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 27, will be $1.00 per bag of books! If you have any questions, contact the library at 937-473-2226!
UVMC Wellness Nurse
The Upper Valley Wellness Nurse will visit the library the second Tuesday of every month from 9:30 - 10:45 am. Come and get your blood pressure checked, a glucose screening or just questions that have been on your mind! The advice is free...lol!
LEGO LOVER'S Group!
On the last Monday of every month, J.R. Clarke Library will be hosting our monthly Lego Landing Group for kids. Do you wish your child was more creative or perhaps you want your child to be more of a problem solver, then this is the place to be. Mrs. Kim Woloch will have new ideas and oversee these projects. See all of you soon at 3:15 pm.
