In past generations, the J.R. Clarke Public Library has received phenomenal support from our community, people living in Covington, as well as those who have lived here previously. As you may be aware, the library is currently undergoing a major renovation. The library has not asked for a levy to be placed on the ballot due to the careful management and the diligence of the former and present Board of Trustees. Because of this, the JRC Library renovation has nearly been paid in its entirety.

The Friends of the J.R. Clarke Public Library, a non-profit 501c3, would like to continue this support. We are inviting you to join us in this endeavor.

The Friends provide financial support for the summer reading program, muscle and labor for the semi-annual book sales, and other needs as they arise. For the current renovation, the Friends are providing the funds toward the purchase of furniture for the Children’s Department.

The Friends would also like to raise funds to enhance children, teen, and adult activities and equipment for building security and the replacement of computers. We are inviting you to join the Friends in this effort and for future support as well.
