Hello and Happy Thanksgiving!
There are many things going on at the Library throughout the remainder of the year.
J.R. Clarke Public Library has several dates the library will be closed.
- On Saturday, November 23, JR Clarke Library will be Closed All Day to Library Staff Training.
- On Wednesday, November 27, JR Clarke Library will close at 5:00 pm.
- On Thursday, November 28, JR Clarke Library will be Closed All Day
On Friday, November 29, JR Clarke Library will have a “Help Decorate Our ‘LITTLE CHRISTMAS TREE'” event from 10:00a -3:00p. The Library will have ornaments to make and decorate for kids of ALL ages. We might even have some cookies to eat and decorate. Everything will take place in the Children’s Department.
Jingle Along with JRC and Support Our Community! Would you like to have any book or material fines deleted at JR Clarke Public Library? If so, we have a very easy way to do so beginning Monday, December 2 through Monday, December 23. For every canned good brought to the library, our staff will delete $1.00 off any fine, excluding lost materials. You can bring in any unexpired canned good(s) to the front circulation desk and our staff will take care of reducing a book or material fine just for you. Perhaps you can “jingle your pocket change” by purchasing canned goods to support others. Call 937-473-2226 for additional information.
JR Clarke’s STEAMers Class usually held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 12:30p, will not be held during the month of December. The next STEAMers Class will be held on Tuesday, January 14. This class is open to any child grade 2nd on up who are homeschooled and want to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math! Also working in groups and collaborating with one another is a life skill You won’t want to miss the next class!

Joanie’s Floral Design’s “Christmas” Decorating Workshop is filling up fast! Joanie will be at JR Clarke on Tuesday, December 3 at 6:00 p.m. with a variety of fresh evergreens, pine, and other decorations! Each participant will create a beautiful centerpiece to use throughout the holiday season, along with an additional surprise item. The cost is $25.00 and a $10.00 deposit is required to hold your “spot!” Checks should be made out to Joanie’s Floral Design. Call the library at 937-473-2226 to get your name on the list and bring a friend!
Our LEGO LANDING group will begin creating our Lego Christmas Village on Monday, November 25 at 3:15 pm. Don’t miss this event so you can be a part of this Christmas Tradition at JR Clarke Public Library.
