Page Turners Reading Challenge: April 30th was the last day to check in. A special thank you to all of the children that participated these past several months. T-shirts will be available for pick up the end of the month.
Story Time: Children’s program held every Tuesday for all children ages 3-5 who have not attended Kindergarten. Led by former Covington school teacher Mrs. Deubner and her assistant Miss Mary Kate. Children are presented with preschool activities, skills, books & crafts with a special share time. Held in 1 hour sessions and available at 3 different times. 9am, 10:30am, and 1pm. Registration is required, stop in at any time to sign your child up!
Spring is finally here! It’s wonderful to see green again and we are excited to read throughout spring with your child. *Special Note* There will not be a 1pm class on May 7th or May 14th. Feel free to come to one of the morning classes!
Suggested show & tell schedule for May:
May 7th : something that begins with U, V or is a circle
May 14th : something that begins with W or is white
May 21st : something that begins with R or is red
April 23rd: something that begins with X, Y or is yellow
May 28th : something that begins with Z or your favorite thing.
Epic Wonders Women’s Book Club: Thursday, May 2nd at 10:30am. Meeting is held on the 2nd floor in the Alcove. They will be discussing At Home in Mitford by Jan Karon and Can’t Wait to Get to Heave by Fannie Flagg.

Book Club is open to all mature women. If you are interested in joining, call the library to sign up and request your copy of the selected title.
Junior STEAMers: Thursday, May 2nd from 3:15-4:15pm. For all students in grades 5 – 8. STEAMers will be painting their clay creations from last month.
Monthly Children’s Bingo: Monday, May 13th from 3:15-4:15. For all children ages Kindergarten and up.
J.R. Clarke Trustee Board Meeting: Monday, May 13th at 6pm. Meeting is open to the public.
FREE Health Screenings for Blood Pressure and Blood Glucose: Tuesday, May 14th the Premier Wellness staff will be in the Alcove from 9-10:45am.
Lego Landing: No Lego Landing for May due to library being closed.
Summer Reading Program Early Registration: May 28th – June 1st.
Library Closed: Monday, May 27th in honor of Memorial Day.
Looking ahead: Summer Reading Program starts June 3. Stay tuned for information on our kick off party and all events planned throughout the program.
