Homeschooling and Using Your Public Library

Our director, Cherie Roeth, has a special evening meeting for all homeschooling parents or anyone interested in what our public library can do for you, your children and your family!
Mrs. Roeth will be talking briefly about how JR Clarke Public Library can integrate different skills and subject areas through the resources that the library offers.  In addition, there will be a brainstorming session on what additional skills or activities parents would like their children to experience.  JR Clarke also has many free digital databases that can complement what is being taught at home.  Different types of art, musical experiences, photography and STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math) will be discussed...the ideas are unlimited!
The date is Thursday, January 17  and we will be holding two meeting times for you to choose:  1:00 pm and 6:30 pm. The location will be the lower Community Room.  You can sign-up in advance by contacting the library at 937-473-2226 or by stopping in.  If we know how many children will be present and their ages, JR Clarke will provide some activities for them during the meeting.  Light refreshments will be served!  You will be amazed at what we can do to reinforce and add to the goals and objectives that are taught in the homeschooling environment on a daily basis.
